FROZEN AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT LICENCE

Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is an important examination in your aviation career. The ATPL has two parts:
 
• Theory examinations
• Aeronautical experience
 
The examinations comprise seven separate examinations for aeroplanes:
 
• ATPL Flight Planning (AFPA)
• ATPL Performance & Loading (APLA)
• ATPL Aerodynamics & Aircraft Systems (AASA)
• ATPL Navigation (ANAV)
• ATPL Meteorology (AMET)
• ATPL Human Factors (AHUF)
• ATPL Air Law (AALW)
 
Two Year Time Frame.
 
As of 1 September, 2014 a candidate has two years to pass all seven ATPL examinations to be awarded an ATPL theory pass. More information can be found on CASA’s page Re-training periods and exam windows.
